Peter has been a Pittville resident for over 20 years and is both a local resident and business owner.

I recently stood as a ward councillor, for Pittville where I live.

This from my election leaflet: Peter is a strategic thinker, being the first lay person appointed by Government to the Human Genetics Commission. He has served as a University Dean in Wales and here, at the University of Gloucestershire.
At present he is a director of an IT company and a trustee of the local St. Vincent’s and St. George’s Association charity and also of The Cheltenham Design Foundation. He was widowed six years ago and lives with his teenage son.

Peter has a passion for our town and its wellbeing. He was recently the chair of The Next 200 Years Groupwhich is dedicated to fighting for Pittville’s’s heritage.

Peter believes in conserving the town for future generations whilst preserving our heritage. He acknowledges the need to generate income and developer’s ambitions. However, he firmly believes this balance needs urgent review, with the needs of communities at its heart. What is the point of underused or empty shops if the town is in gridlock and there is nowhere to park? What benefit are increased business revenues then?

Peter is capable and dynamic. He believes that together we can change things.

He is a local resident who lives and works in the ward and is already dedicated to the task of making Cheltenham better.

He wants a town with services that work and residents who are listened to. Then we and future generations will look back and say ‘job well done’.
